YOU CAN’T BE GRUMPY WITH A GOAT ON YOUR BACK! You may be here for the cute baby goats, but you are also supporting a local charity, Rock City Rescue. One of the RCR foster moms has goats and was expecting a few kids this Spring, so we thought this was the perfect time to bring Baby Goat Yoga to NLR! It was very important to us, from the beginning, to support a goat owner whose goats were considered pets and not livestock. What you expect in a typical class:
This is yoga at its easiest; no prior experience is needed and consists of various poses primarily aimed at beginners. During a session, participants are welcome to pet the goats and play with them as much as their heart desires, so expect a giggle-filled, concentration-challenging experience of baby goats clambering on your back or licking your feet while you attempt downward facing dog. Our baby Nigerian Dwarf goats joining class are approx 2-months-old and weigh no more than 25 pounds, so the climbing adds more cuteness than strain.
