On Monday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m. the Arkansas Inland Maritime Museum will hold a ceremony honoring four veterans from Arkansas. Included in the list of honored veterans are Major General (Retired) Don. C. Morrow, the former Adjutant General of Arkansas. Morrow currently serves as the Board President for our museum. We will also be honoring Colonel (Retired) Anita Deason, who currently serves as the Military and Veteran Liaison for U.S. Senator John Boozman. In addition to Morrow and Deason, we will be honoring Colonel (Ret.) Doyle Herndon and Gordon C. Willison CPO (A0), USN Retired, who was rescued by the USS Razorback after his plane crashed off the coast of California in 1967. We are honored to have our color guard provided by The North Little Rock Police Department Honor Guard, refreshments provided by United Daughters of the Confederacy, poppies provided M.M. Eberts American Legion Auxiliary, and a bald eagle appearance from the Little Rock Zoo. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at The River House, just east of our museum at 140 Riverfront Park Drive, in North Little Rock.
