St. Joseph Center is an independent non-profit organization with a mission to preserve and restore this historic property through sustainable farming and food production, programs that educate and promote agritourism, and support community outreach.

The building was built in 1910 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. St. Joseph's is also a designated Arkansas Department of Agriculture Century Farm (established in 1907). Over the years, St. Joseph has served as an orphanage, school, nursing home, daycare and retreat center run by the Benedictine Sisters of St. Scholastica.

There are many opportunities for involvement, such as restoration and preservation, gardening, landscaping and farming.
